PENSAR evacuates injured hiker in Three Blind Mice hiking area

At 12:30 P.M. – Penticton Search and Rescue responded to a request by local BC Emergency Health Services after a report of injured hiker in the Three Blind Mice (Naramata) hiking and biking area. PENSAR immediately sent a 2 person Hasty Team and located a female hiker who had sustained some serious injuries after taking a fall down a 20 foot slope. As the Hasty Team treated the hiker, an additional 8 PENSAR first responders using UTV’s attended to the area where assisted to stabilize and transport the subject down to a nearby BC ambulance.
